NHS Golden Jubilee is expanding and as a result of recent redesign we are looking for a new Service Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate and driven individuals to join the senior teams within the National Elective Services Division.
You will manage and lead services to ensure continuous quality improvement and the development of all aspects of performance are attained. Additionally, you will provide overarching leadership to ensure the maintenance of quality and performance standards and delivery of Board priorities. You will also be an excellent team player and will work closely with the Senior Nursing Teams, Clinical Leads, Consultants, Heads of Department and the other Board Clinical and non-clinical Groups to manage the workload and ensure day-to-day operational cover for clinical and clinical support services. The role will also support the shaping and implementing of service strategies. GJNH is an NHS Scotland Resource, as such, successful applicants will work alongside colleagues from across NHS Scotland.
In the last year the National Elective Services Division has expanded significantly, with the second phase of our hospital expansion now complete. The division has now added an additional 5 laminar flow operating theatres, 3 endoscopy rooms and a large Central Sterilising and Processing Department to the existing estate. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the operational delivery of the Orthopaedic, Anaesthetics and Out Patient services and lead further development of services.
Successful candidates will be educated to postgraduate / masters degree level or equivalent experience, preferably with an MBA or MSc management qualification, with demonstrable senior management experience and recent evidence of successfully implementing change and experience of managing staff, resources as well as managing waiting times. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, self-driven and experienced leaders, who can make a positive difference to patients, services and teams.
