Responsibilities
* Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
* Analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and access migration feasibility.
* Architect hybrid AWS and on-premises solutions.
* Guide customers on architecture choices and inform them of best practices to adopt AWS efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Ensure success in building, migrating, and deploying applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
* Brief senior executive team on customer progress of adopting AWS and define future platform requirements for onboarding and migration to AWS.
* Author AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
* Share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.
* Engage with developers, system administrators, software architects, project managers, directors, and C-level customers to define cloud strategies and deployments.
* Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and ensure that solutions are designed for successful deployment on AWS.
Position Requirements
* Master\'s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations (Database Administrator, Support Engineer, Systems Engineer or related).
* Employer will accept Bachelor\'s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master\'s and one year of experience.
* Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications; (2) architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java; (3) experience with database architecture, performance tuning, and either Big Data or Hadoop.
