We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
* Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation guidelines.
* Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all kitchen activities.
* Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
* Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards.
* Support the development of new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
* Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
* Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff.
* Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
