Customer Service Administrator

Our client is looking to recruit a permanent, full-time, office-based person for a varied Customer Service Administrator / Sales Administration role based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Applicants need to be computer literate and must be willing and able to make and receive telephone calls to customers.

This customer service role could be suitable for a school leaver / graduate, as full training will be given. However, some experience working in a Customer Service / Sales / marketing or a Sales Administration type role, even on a temporary basis, would be an advantage.

All applicants must have excellent attention to detail and be outstanding communicators with the ability to multi-task.

The role:

* Accurately process changes to sales orders on behalf of customers and keep the customer informed of changes to stock, delivery or returns as applicable

* Chase suppliers, reorder missing goods and deal with supplier returns

* Manage your database effectively ensuring accurate records are kept at all times. This will include back orders and system updates

* Keep on top of the online reviews and respond accordingly

* Cross check references, fraud scores and billing addresses of new customers

* Answer queries by telephone and email

* Being interested in marketing and using social media to promote the business could also be an advantage

The person:

* Applicants will ideally have had some office-based experience within Customer Services, as an account manager or as sales administrator, for instance. We are looking for excellent customer service skills.

* Essentially you will have an exceptional telephone manner and will be highly customer focused, friendly and business like.

* Applicants need to be reliable, numerate and literate and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Applicants need to be very accurate in their work and possess solid MS computer skills

Salary: c£24000 pa, negotiable depending on experience

Office hours – Monday to Friday
