You will play a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining the build quality of all products. The role is hands on with the production team, being a key part of the manufacturing process, with inspection of both inbound and outbound goods/products. This would include physical checks on goods received, ensuring they are to specification, material checks and general quality checks. For company manufactured products this would include quality checks on the manufacture and assembly of units, including long term testing and monitoring and analysis of faults founds and trending in returns. The expectation is the Quality Engineer will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks within production processes, reviewing and updating documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the wider team in resolving quality issues within the supply chain. They shall also be expected to support the requirements of ISO9001 and other ISO standards by coordinating quality reviews and ensuring that objectives relating to customer satisfaction, product reliability and operational efficiency are met. Working with the management team they shall be analysing complaints and feedback, tracking performance metrics and implementing corrective actions where necessary to drive continuous improvement. Opportunity to take a more significant role in managing ISO9001 accreditation across the whole business, and to support the implementation of other ISO frameworks. Key Responsibilities • Work with the production team to inspect both inbound and outbound product to ensure it meets defined specifications and quality standards. • Preparations towards achieving the relevant standards (ISO 9001:2015) and any other as required • Monitor and review relevant faults found/returns data, sharing with the wider team and supporting activities to address any negative trends identified. • Monitor, analyse data and report on performance against set Quality Objectives. • Ensure documentation and records are maintained in line with defined processes. • Collate existing processes, identify gaps, co-ordinate the completion of required documents. Define the structure according to which the processes will be stored electronically. • Review the Regulatory Standards Register and monitor compliance. • Attend Product Non-Conformance meetings to stay abreast of issues, priorities and related activities. • Populate, co-ordinate, update and report on the Non-Conformance Register. • Contribute to the decisions regarding corrective and preventive actions. • Spearhead the company’s efforts towards continuous improvement. • Carry out internal audits, report on the findings and follow up on next steps. • Support company-wide preparations towards achieving and maintaining ISO9001 and any other standard as may be required. • Liaise with teams across the organisation to create and implement procedures that help the company work more effectively and efficiently. • Make all necessary arrangements with the Auditing body, BSI etc. • Work closely with the appointed Consultant. • Attend relevant courses/training. Required Qualifications • Degree level qualification in a technical related field. • Experience and/or recognised training in ISO9001
