As a Healthcare Integration Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of robust and scalable integration solutions that enable the seamless exchange of healthcare data across various systems, applications, platforms and vendors. Your Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, healthcare providers, IT teams, and vendors, to understand integration requirements and develop integration strategies. Design and develop healthcare integration architecture that supports the secure, efficient, and reliable exchange of data between different healthcare systems, applications, and platforms. Assess and select appropriate integration technologies, middleware, and tools based on business needs, scalability requirements, and industry standards. Define and enforce healthcare data standards, including HL7, CDA, CCD, FHIR, and other relevant standards, to ensure interoperability and data consistency. Develop and maintain integration patterns, frameworks, and best practices to streamline the implementation of integration solutions. Conduct impact analysis and feasibility studies for proposed integration initiatives, providing recommendations and mitigating risks. Lead and guide development teams in the implementation of integration solutions, providing technical expertise and ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure integration solutions meet regulatory requirements and data privacy standards. Monitor and troubleshoot integration processes, identifying and resolving performance issues, errors, and bottlenecks. Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and industry standards in healthcare integration, sharing knowledge and promoting innovation within the organization. Provide guidance and support to other teams, such as data management, application development, and infrastructure teams, regarding integration-related matters. Ability to translate the client requirement to a visual story Willingness to learn new skills To qualify for the role, you must have Background in Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as an Integration Architect, preferably in the healthcare industry. Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, such as X12, HL7, CDA, CCD, FHIR, and others. Proficiency in integration technologies and middleware, such as Mirth Connect, InterSystems Ensemble, MuleSoft or others. Experience with API development and management, including RESTful and SOAP-based APIs. Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, messaging systems, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Familiarity with healthcare interoperability frameworks, such as IHE, C-CDA, or DICOM. Experience in designing and implementing healthcare data exchanges, including EHR integration, lab interfaces, and medical device integrations. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex integration issues. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide development teams and promote architectural best practices. Up-to-date knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies Ideally, you’ll also have Project management skills Familiar with Agile project delivery. Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS is preferred.
