The Teaching & Learning Manager – A Levels Role
Chichester College Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Teaching & Learning Manager for A Levels and Access to HE at Chichester College. This full‑time permanent role offers a competitive salary pro rata of £44,630–£48,774 per annum and 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
As Manager you will play a central role in leading and developing our A Level and Access to HE provision, working closely with the Head of Learning to ensure high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment, strong student progress, and a curriculum offer that meets the needs of our students and local community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day‑to‑day operations of the A Level provision, working in line with a yearly schedule of events.
* Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment and provide comprehensive support for students.
* Ensure students make strong progress in line with ALPs value add.
* Contribute to all curriculum planning processes, including curriculum intent statements and timetabling.
* Advise and support the development of new curriculum offerings, such as V Levels, incorporating input from the community, employers and stakeholders.
* Support student recruitment activities, including attending open events and other events as required by the Head of Learning.
* Contribute to the effective recruitment and retention of teaching, delivery and support staff, supporting the staff team with a coaching approach.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant teaching qualification such as Certificate in Education, PGCE or Level 5 Diploma in Teaching.
* Proven record of teaching and assessment to a consistently high standard, including the use of technology within A Level provision.
* Teaching experience within Further Education.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of curriculum and teaching and learning, proven through continuing professional development.
* Understanding of equal opportunity, safeguarding obligations and health and safety relating to students and curriculum delivery.
* Excellent communication skills for a diverse audience, both verbally and in writing, and through online tools.
