Job Description
Randolph Hill Nursing Homes Group are currently searching for a Maintenance Person on an initial temporary contact of 3 months, full time 35 hours per week based at our exceptional nursing home Randolph Hill in Dunblane, near Stirling.
There will be a review near the completion of the 3 months with a potential for extension.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the home continues to be in good repair both internally and externally in keeping with our company image. This will include general paintwork and decoration whilst ensuring all basic maintenance of the home is kept to a high standard with the outcome that we have a safe home with a trouble free environment for residents, relatives and staff.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Report major maintenance problems to the manager and await instructions
2. Liaise with Facilities Manager for advice
3. Communicate hazards/information to all staff, using ‘communications book’ and notices
4. Ensure quotes are received from all proposed trades people and agreement by superiors reached prior to authorisation being given
5. Carry out general maintenance to fabric and furnishings so as to present a safe and satisfactory environment
