What sort of work?
Our highly experienced Transactional Real Estate (TRE) group is looking for a Paralegal to join our Exeter office, working as part of our Residential Development team. In this role you will support the team in delivering efficient and effective legal and administrative day‑to‑day support to development clients and wider commercial property work.
* Providing efficient and effective support, aiming to meet all targets set by clients in respect of exchange and completion deadlines.
* Assisting with due diligence and reporting to clients.
* Assisting with the preparation and drafting of routine transaction documents.
* Operating the case management system and all other forms of reporting to clients.
* Ensuring deposits and completion monies are remitted to clients in the correct manner, when required.
* Attending meetings with clients where necessary and updating clients on all active matters whenever required by any method the client requires.
* Maintaining effective communication with colleagues across the Firm, as required.
* Maintaining time recording on client matters on a daily basis in accordance with the firm's procedures.
* Managing files diligently and reviewing each regularly.
* Complying with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
* Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and/or information.
Qualifications
We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience of working as a paralegal in a real estate team / CILEx qualified.
* Experience of delivering excellent client service to both external and internal clients.
* Experience of working in a process driven environment and working to deadlines.
* Excellent organisational skills, demonstrable examples of multi‑tasking and an ability to juggle competing priorities and work well under pressure.
* Excellent IT skills and proficient with Microsoft Office.
