Locality Clinical Manager - Adult LD Service

Eligibility: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Locality Clinical Manager to join our professional service on a full‑time basis.

It is important to us that all our staff are aligned to our Values and in particular the behaviours we expect from KCHFT managers. As part of the selection process for this position you will be asked to complete two other activities in addition to the competency‑based interview. The provisional date of the selection event is 26 June 2026, although this may be subject to change.
Main duties of the job
Could you use your skills and experience to support the NHS to deliver great patient care? Great patient care needs great people to support clinical teams. That’s where you come in.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Health / Social Care Practitioner; Recognised degree qualification or equivalent; Professional registration
* Additional qualification in healthcare leadership and/or management
Experience
* Demonstrable experience as a senior clinician; Experience as first line management experience; Experience of integrated health working and partnership working with multi‑agency colleagues; Experience of clinical audits and benchmarking; Experience of improving patient experience through complaint management or patient feedback.
* Experience of performance management and use of relevant tools
Knowledge
* Knowledge of national policies relevant to health, social care and education; Understanding of role of other professionals and partnership working; Current knowledge of safeguarding procedures; Demonstrate clear vision of patient care and service delivery models
Skills and Abilities
* Team management and leadership skills, demonstrating an ability to manage staff compassionately and valuing diversity; Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships
Personal Attributes
* Innovative, willingness to meet new challenges and to pioneer new ways of working.
