Engineering Delivery Manager
Base location: Cheadle / Templecombe, UK
Hybrid work approach – 3 days per week onsite at Cheadle / Templecombe. Up to 15% travel within Thales sites and occasional client meetings in the UK.

About The Team / Rewards
You will be managing a multidisciplinary team across Hardware, Software, Systems, Safety, and Cyber Security, focused on delivering sonar equipment.
Our Opportunity
Your role as Engineering Delivery Manager is to deliver a sonar programme, responsible for cost & schedule and meeting customer needs. You will lead the engineering team, guide decision‑making, and ensure adherence to engineering processes and applicable standards. The position involves significant management responsibility for engineering strategy and may include direct line management of project staff.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain UK SC Level Security Clearance without restrictions and be UK national.
About You
* Extensive experience of systems engineering, ideally within the defence sector.
* Prior experience in a multidisciplinary team as a team lead or member.
* Strong analytical skills supporting logical, effective and timely decision‑making.
* Strong appreciation of Safety and Safety Assurance within the engineering discipline and domain.
* Desirable: previous managerial role, ideally within defence, on submarines or sonar equipment; not essential.
