As Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and team management
* Supervise and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities
* Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet established standards
* Support menu development and recipe creation in collaboration with the culinary team
* Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage stock levels effectively
* Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations
* Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to enhance performance
* Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication and organizational skills
* Passion for food, creativity, and attention to detail
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Formal culinary qualification is preferred but not essential
