Regional Operations Manager
Are you experienced in operational management and ideally within the construction sector? If so we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our friendly Plant Hire Operations Team. The location is flexible as it is a regional role that will include travel and occasional overnight stays and can be based from any one of our national locations within the North, including but not limited to Birmingham or Stockport.

We are now seeking a Regional Operations Manager to support our business in the North as we continue to grow.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Plant Hire Operations Director and with overall Regional responsibilities for Our People, Our Customers, Our Suppliers, Our Assets and Our Brand, the role will ensure that the company's operational strategic direction for plant hire operations is understood and delivered by the regional operational depot network. You will lead the Depot General Managers operationally with accountability for delivering best in class customer service, and promoting the ML brand to be a supplier of choice. Managing the region and it's people in line with the company budget delivering revenue growth and cost controls. Day to day will involve running of the region to include people management, regional asset availability and security, managing to a regional budget, ensuring the regions QHSE legislation/compliance and ensuring that everybody follows the procurement procedures of the business.
Working Full Time, 45hrs per week, Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 5pm, as well a competitive salary we offer a range of benefits including;

What you'll need;
* Proven track record in operational management, leading, engaging and motivating teams
* Experience within the plant hire or hire industry is desirable
* Experience of leading and motivating a team with the ability to work on their own initiative and within a wider depot network
* Working knowledge and experience of on-site Health & Safety legislation and behavioural expectations
* To be financially and commercially driven with the enthusiasm and experience to develop the Region and manage performance to beat budgetary expectations inline with budgets
* Detail focused and organised with the ability to prioritise workload
* Confident communicator
* Customer focused
* Comfortable with the use of IT systems
* Ability to builds and maintains strong working relationships both internally and externally with the skills to influence key stakeholders at all levels
* A flexible approach to working hours to suit the business needs (including occasional overnights)
