Lecturer in Spanish Language (Part-time 0.8 FTE, Fixed term for 11 months)

Starting salary from £38,249 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £45,413 per annum (pro rata).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join the School of Media, Language and Communication Studies to deliver lectures and seminars and carry out teaching-related duties within the area of Spanish Language provision on our Modern Language degrees.
Teaching is a key part of this role and as such you will be expected to plan, teach and assess undergraduate and potentially postgraduate programmes, taking responsibility for the delivery and assessment of specific modules. This will include organising modules and developing teaching and learning materials. You will also help to support recruitment and student experience activity in the School, as well as support students on their Year Abroad.
You must have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area with experience of undergraduate teaching and student assessment at all levels including coursework, examinations and undergraduate dissertations. Teaching experience at postgraduate level and an interest in relevant enterprise, engagement, and research activities would be advantageous
This part-time (0.8 FTE) post is available from 1 September 2025 on a fixed term basis for 11 months.
