Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
Duties
* Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development across various areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
* Supervise children during playtime and structured activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nappy changing, and personal hygiene.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and self-esteem.
* Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring that all toys and equipment are safe and age-appropriate.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Experience
* Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting is preferred but not essential.
* A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A patient, caring attitude with a genuine interest in child development.
