About the Role
We are looking to appoint an Engagement Coach to facilitate and support timetabled sessions within the Hub at our Ystrad Mynach campus. This maternity cover role is available on a term‑time only basis until March 2027 and offers a rewarding opportunity to work directly with learners in a supportive, learner‑centred environment. The postholder will play a key role in promoting engagement, supporting learner progression, and conducting Century literacy and numeracy assessments to help identify support needs and inform appropriate interventions. The role is due to commence on 24 August 2027 and would suit someone who is proactive, approachable and committed to helping learners build confidence and succeed in their learning journey.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate and support timetabled sessions within the Hub at Ystrad Mynach campus.
* Promote engagement and support learner progression.
* Conduct Century literacy and numeracy assessments to identify support needs.
* Inform appropriate interventions based on assessment outcomes.
