Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop clear, challenging learning objectives aligned with school policies.
2. Set homework in accordance with year group policies, promoting independent study.
3. Identify and provide support for students with Special Educational Needs in the humanities domain.
4. Plan engaging lessons that prioritise pace, motivation, and challenge, with a continuous assessment and adjustment approach.
5. Uphold effective teaching through high expectations, fostering sound learning, and maintaining discipline.
6. Create a secure and stimulating learning environment, employing a variety of teaching methods.
7. Differentiate instruction to accommodate all abilities, ensuring learning potential is not capped.
8. Provide constructive feedback on student work, meticulously maintaining accurate records.
9. Champion equal treatment for all students, safeguarding their welfare.
10. Contribute to the formulation and implementation of school policies and procedures, positively influencing the school's ethos.
11. Actively participate in appraisal procedures and engage in continuous professional development.
12. Attend school meetings and maintain positive communication with parents.
Requirements:
13. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
14. Evidence of excellent classroom practice or the potential to achieve it.
15. Proven track record of successful student outcomes across Key Stages.
16. High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour.
17. Eligibility to work in the UK.
