The Opportunity:
Conduct original research on neuronal networks underlying the processing of natural visual stimuli, using in vivo large-scale two-photon calcium imaging and virtual reality in awake behaving mice.
Analyse in vivo large-scale two-photon calcium imaging data sets combined with behavioural data (pupil diameter, speed, motor movements).
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post isUE07 £41,064 to £48,822per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
1. PhD in Neuroscience is required with experience in in vivo large-scale two-photon calcium imaging
2. Programming skills, Matlab, (and/or Python)
3. Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
4. Experience in electrophysiological recordings
