Job Overview
This is a permanent, part-time, job-share position for 18.5 hours per week. The shift pattern is Wednesday PM, Thursday, and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. The salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Consultants and their teams.
* Act as a focal point for service enquiries, offering help and advice to staff, patients, and professionals.
* Coordinate patient pathways and support inpatient and outpatient clinical care.
* Prioritize and schedule workload to meet NHS and Scottish Government targets.
* Assist in organizing and prioritizing the Consultant’s administrative tasks, including managing cancellations and resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with statutory/mandatory training and develop skills as required.
* Use NHS systems such as Trak and Clinical Portal; experience with waiting lists is desirable.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience with NHS systems is essential.
* Excellent communication skills, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact.
* Ability to use initiative and exercise resourcefulness.
