Bookkeeper (Practice)
Location: Prestwich
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am – 5:15 pm with a 1-hour lunch, and Friday, 9:00 am – 4:45 pm with a 30-minute lunch (36.25 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Our client is an accountancy practice based in Greater Manchester. They aim to provide high-quality services using modern technology to support their clients across accounting, tax, VAT, payroll, and business advisory.

They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and supportive team based in Prestwich. This is a primarily office-based role, with occasional travel to client premises when required.

Requirements
* Proven experience in a bookkeeping role (practice experience essential)
* Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software
* Experience in preparing VAT returns
* Confident in communicating with clients and liaising with HMRC
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Access to own vehicle for occasional client visits
* Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment

The Role
* Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC
* Bank reconciliations
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
