SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Newport, Wales Pay: Daily Rate of £90 - £110 Type: Contract/Long term Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? ANZUK Education is currently recruiting for 2 dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant's for a school in the Newport area. If you have previous experience in SEN education and specifically dealing with behavioral challenges we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including, ADHD, social, emotional, and mental health needs Assist class teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet individual needs and EHCP targets Encourage the development of social and emotional skills through positive relationships and consistent routines, while being calm and empathetic Contribute to behaviour management strategies and help maintain a calm, structured learning environment Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and other support staff to implement effective interventions and strategies What We're Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant: A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting is highly desirable Strong communication, patience, and empathy The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviours positively Flexible, proactive, and reliable attitude Teaching Assistant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3) are an advantage but not essential Why Join ANZUK Education?
