Within our Social Housing Planned Works programs, you will work both from home/office and on-site, collaborating with your team in an inclusive and fair environment. Work streams will include internal and external programs, such as Passive Fire Protection and Painting works initially.
You will be commercially focused to ensure we obtain and evaluate information to guarantee realistic costs for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services for designated repairs and refurbishment projects. You will liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure that information, costs, profitability, and value meet project requirements.

Responsibilities as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor include:
* Preparing monthly CVRs.
* Monitoring cash flow forecasts for projects.
* Ensuring invoices are accurate and certified for timely payments.
* Supporting the valuation and authorization of payments to subcontractors within the region.
* Collaborating with Contract Managers to establish project specifications and requirements.
* Attending meetings with colleagues, clients, and customers, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
* Assisting in preparing estimates, bids, and tenders within demanding timescales.
* Monitoring contract progress and reporting changes affecting costs or timelines.
* Supporting contract budget control.
* Developing procurement programs.
About You:
You should have experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in construction and refurbishment, preferably with knowledge of the social housing sector. Ideally, you will have a few years of managing your own workload and contracts, knowledge of CVR processes, and schedules of rates. Strong commercial acumen, excellent attention to detail, and proficient IT skills (MS Office) are essential. A Full UK Driving Licence is required as travel is a key part of this role.
