Senior Residential Children's Worker

£13.50–£15.00 per hour | 40 hours per week + sleep ins


Our client is a well-established and compassionate children’s residential care service dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and nurturing environments where young people can thrive. They are now seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Children's Worker to join their experienced team and help shape brighter futures for the children in their care.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will take a key role in the day-to-day care and support of children living in the home.


What We’re Looking For

* A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification)
* Experience working in a children’s residential home, including direct work with safeguarding and challenging behaviour
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
* A calm, non-judgemental approach and a genuine passion for supporting young people

Key Responsibilities

* Provide consistent, child-centred care within the home, ensuring safeguarding and emotional wellbeing are at the forefront
* Lead shifts and mentor junior staff, promoting best practices and teamwork
* Help create structured routines, encourage educational engagement, and plan meaningful activities
* Support children through emotional challenges with empathy and resilience
* Maintain accurate records, contribute to care plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
