I am working with a leading T&I contractor, they are seeking an experienced 1st Assistant to join a 4-5 month offshore campaign on an offshore wind development. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with coordinating all works on board. Supervise foremen and supervisors to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Coordinate construction activities during shifts and optimize production phases. Keep the Offshore Construction Manager updated on potential problems and construction status. Collaborate with the Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer, and Vessel Equipment Engineer for preventive maintenance and construction activities. Optimize production by coordinating with subcontractors' supervisors. Resolve coordination, priority, and interface matters between different disciplines. Ensure adherence to the Permit-to-Work system and conduct daily Tool Box Talks and JSA, if required. Motivate construction crew/subcontractors on health, safety, and environmental awareness. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and report incidents and near-miss events. Manage crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements and ROV launching. Provide assistance in marine operations if required. Generate a construction report at the end of each shift. Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in equipment and consumable follow-up. Ensure rigging gear is within date and properly marked. Report to the Offshore Construction Manager. Job Requirements: Significant experience in offshore wind construction projects. Strong coordination and leadership skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines. Flexibility to work on a 4-5 month offshore campaign.
