The Opportunity
In this role, reporting to the site Hygiene Manager, you will lead a shift, ensuring high standards of health and food safety. You will line manage 6 Team Leaders/Operatives, overseeing performance management, development, and communication. Attendance at daily meetings and building positive departmental relationships are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Address Food Safety and compliance non-conformances, ensuring thorough investigations and effective corrective actions.
* Review risk assessments and document safe systems of work for Hygiene tasks.
* Evaluate shift performance against Hygiene plans and implement recovery actions for variances.
The Ideal Candidate
We value collaboration and diversity. The successful candidate will have:
* Experience managing people in a food manufacturing environment
* A collaborative approach across departments
* Experience in Hygiene departments
* Experience with risk assessments and knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
* Health and safety qualification (advantageous)
