Offer description

The UK&I energy sector is undergoing a seismic shift. Surging demand, stricter regulations, and ambitious net-zero goals are driving groundbreaking innovation. Here's your chance to be at the heart of it all.

We are open to speaking with experienced Electrical Design Engineers regarding future opportunities aligned with our growth strategy.

You will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects including energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, pump stations, etc. For more info on our projects, hear what our team has to say here.

As a Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in all aspects of projects, from feasibility studies and concept design to construction and commissioning. You will be responsible for leading the electrical design of projects, including generators, control and instrumentation systems, protection, substations, and transmission lines. You will perform design, modeling, and analysis of electrical and electronic systems to ensure project feasibility and compliance with industry standards.

You will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with civil, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure a fully integrated project design.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer passionate about sustainable energy and eager to make a significant industry impact.

About You

You will ideally be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with the IET. Experience in the Energy sector is preferred, but experience in water or buildings sectors is also valuable.

You will have experience producing and interpreting design drawings and documents, including single line diagrams, key line diagrams, block cable diagrams, calculations (e.g., equipment sizing and fault ratings), load schedules, specifications, and reports. Familiarity with collaborative reviews and design solutions is essential.

You should have strong communication skills for technical presentations to clients and design teams, and be comfortable participating in collaborative design discussions and workshops.

Most importantly, you will embody and support our values of client focus, designing with community in mind, collaboration, and service excellence.
