A permanent vacancy has arisen for a 0.8WTE/29.6hrs B4 Team Medical Secretary in the Psychology Department in South Glasgow. Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 9-5.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high quality and comprehensive secretarial service to Clinical Psychologists working across a range of community and inpatient services in South Glasgow.
* Provide business admin/PA support to the Lead Psychologist in the sector and administer HR systems, such as SSTS and EESS, as their delegate.
* Demonstrate attention to detail, strong motivation and enthusiasm; work as part of a team.
* Assist with administration using a range of computer packages; demonstrate competence via experience or formal qualification (e.g., ECDL).
* Possess or be willing to develop a recognised qualification in Administration (e.g., HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3) or equivalent practical experience.
* Show competence in office procedures and systems and previous secretarial/administrative experience; operate within the South Glasgow Psychology department.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Advanced keyboard skills with a good command of verbal and written English.
* Adequate awareness of clinical terminology or willingness to learn.
* Converse with a range of computer packages and evidence of competence (e.g., ECDL) or equivalent qualification.
* Line management on a day-to-day basis by the Lead Psychologist for the sector.

Additional information
* As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay is not affected.
