Payroll Coordinator
Part time (3 days per week or 24 hours per week worked flexibly) - based at our head office in Altham Accrington
£28,500 - £30,000 per annum (prorated to 3 days/24 hours per week)
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to the HR and Finance teams in the preparation of payroll data, supporting the efficient and accurate payment of salaries across the company.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of BACS Schedule for Monthly payroll (168 staff) for FD.
* Managing, collecting and reviewing timesheets.
* Calculating payable hours and deductions
* Liaise with Residential home managers to ensure accurate clock in and staff attendance information is provided (Blip T&A system)
* Management of absence, sickness and holiday information ensuring it is up to date at all times using BrightHR, ensuring it is up to date at all times, including ensuring Residential managers complete their tasks on BrightHR.
* Respond to payroll queries and address shortfalls in a timely manner
* Responsible for pension auto enrolments – (NEST)
* Management of Maternity and Paternity pay calculations
* Being the key contact in the company for Payroll, Maternity and Paternity Pay, statutory payments and queries.
Essential
* At least 2 years of experience in Payroll
* At least 1 year using BrightHR or an equivalent package
* Proficient in Excel
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Proven strong numeracy skills
* Proven organisational and time management skills
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Highly Desirable
· Experience working within Residential Childcare or Adult care facility.
· Experience of working within an HR team or environment.
· Experience with NEST Pensions.
