The Role
You will join a team of four within the credit control function, supporting the day-to-day administration of customer accounts and helping ensure payments are received on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the management and collection of outstanding customer balances
* Set up and maintain customer accounts within the assigned section of the ledger
* Carry out routine credit control tasks, including chasing payments by phone and email
* Allocate customer payments accurately
* Raise and send invoices and statements
* Handle basic invoice and account queries, escalating where necessary
* Maintain accurate customer records
* Assist with monthly and year-end accounts, including bank reconciliations, trial balance preparation, and audit support
* Support the wider finance team with general administrative duties
About You
* Previous experience in an administrative or accounts/credit control role is desirable
* Comfortable communicating with customers and colleagues
* Well organised with good attention to detail
* Able to work effectively as part of a team
* Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office
* A positive and reliable approach to work
