Role Overview
The Process & Digital Thread Lead plays a pivotal role within the PLM360 Programme, driving alignment between business processes, the future PLM solution, and the organisation’s crossfunctional Digital Thread vision. Operating at the intersection of process definition, architectural insight, dataflow governance, and project execution, this role ensures that SMEs and Process Use Case Leads remain connected, informed, and supported in shaping futureready Ways of Working.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, a deep understanding of complex product information flows, and confidence in shaping endtoend processes within a global business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Future Processes
* Investigates and assesses current Ways of Working across relevant business units.
* Learns, analyses, and interprets the new PLM360 Ways of Working.
* Identifies process gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Performs detailed difference analysis between current and future processes.
* Defines Business Unit process requirements for the future PLM landscape.
* Supports change impact analysis to ensure successful adoption across teams.
* Works closely with SMEs and Process Use Case Leads to align expectations and outcomes.
* Contributes to tool and workflow development from a process driven perspective.
Digital Thread
* Owns and maintains Product Data Flow materials throughout the project lifecycle.
* Supports SMEs and Process Use Case Leads by identifying, preventing, and resolving emerging silos.
* Maintains visibility and consistency of end to end information flows across the programme.
* May act as custodian of the future information model, ensuring cross functional alignment.
* Provides architecture related recommendations, insights, and scenario analysis.
* Helps the local project team understand architectural choices, impacts, and strategies.
* Serves as the connective layer between PLM360 and other PLM relevant programmes or tools.
* Champions the Digital Thread vision across engineering, operations, configuration, and supply chain functions.
Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes or PLM systems.
* Demonstrated ability to map, analyse, and redesign business processes.
* Experience working with complex product data or enterprise architecture concepts.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to influence cross functional teams without direct authority.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex technical topics.
* Experience with PLM systems.
* Exposure to Digital Thread or model based engineering initiatives.
* Background in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or configuration management.
* Familiarity with largescale transformation programmes.
* Highly collaborative, proactive, and structured in approach.
* Strong problem solving skills with a logical mindset.
