We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead our flagship Co‑op franchise on the University of Warwick campus, the busiest Co‑op store in the entire UK, achieving record transactions, the highest bakery takings across the Co‑op franchise, and offering the largest range of local product lines to meet the needs of our diverse campus community.

About You
As Store Manager, you will lead a large and diverse team, delivering exceptional customer service, robust commercial performance and an engaging in‑store experience every day. You will reinforce our commitment to co‑operation, inclusion, and community impact, while ensuring the store operates safely, legally and to the highest retail standards. You will inspire colleagues, drive operational excellence, and champion local partnerships, helping us continue to set the benchmark for campus retail across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all aspects of store operations – safety, legal compliance, stock, staffing, merchandising, and financial performance.
* Recruit, train, coach and develop colleagues and Team Leaders, fostering a high‑performing and inclusive culture.
* Deliver an outstanding customer experience, ensuring the store is customer‑ready at all times.
* Maintain excellence in food safety, age‑restricted sales, licensing, and all regulatory obligations.
* Plan and drive commercial activity, identifying new growth opportunities and improving store standards.
* Champion community engagement and support local initiatives, strengthening our place at the heart of campus life.
* Lead change confidently, embedding new processes and driving continuous improvement.
* Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Warwick Food Group, Co‑op teams, and supply partners.
* Provide flexible support across a 7‑day, 52‑week operation.
