Washline Section Manager Taskmaster are currently looking to recruit a Washline Section Manager to join the expanding team of our well established client based in Lincoln (LN4). Key responsibilities include: Managing labor allocation, monitoring staff attendance and compliance, overseeing probation and development processes, and maintaining effective communication with various departments. The role also involves ownership of the Wash Line process - conducting checks, monitoring performance data, and ensuring GMP compliance. With accountability for shift. performance, the role requires strong leadership to mentor and support team members, drive productivity, uphold site standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement in line with business objectives and values. Main Responsibilities: Ensure Area pre shift checks are completed, escalate any work that is required. At the start of shift, following the agreed plan, ensure the correct number of people are assigned to the right areas, dependent on production plans. At start of shift coordinate any labour replacements due to shortages between agencies to fulfil supply where required. Communicate with Planning, Technical and Senior Production Managers the success of shift start. Report on any required changes to plan, i.e. lines not running. Conduct or coordinate RTW interviews to be completed on first day back on shift prior to starting, monitor department sickness, escalate and report on trends. Ensure all staff are wearing the correct PPE and comply with the site rules. Regular checks should be completed at the start of shift and then periodically during the day (particularly after lunch or toilets breaks). Based on production plans ensure that there is the right availability of boxes, coordinate the plan with the FLT drivers to maintain correct levels during the shift Ensure holidays are closely monitored, adequate cover is available prior to signing off. Ensure the rota is updated with the schedule and planned cover. Escalate any issues Coordinate new starter probation periods between the HR team and Senior Production Managers. Act as a mentor to new starters ensure they are settled into the team and are getting the right support. Work closely with QA team leaders and QA team to ensure the wash lines are optimising quality performance. Own the Wash Line process. Constantly perform visual inspections of the washlines. Observe and detect potential mechanical and program variances from standard on the lines, recording issues and faults and liaising with the Senior Production Managers and Engineering to correct any issues found. Continuously monitor the wash lines areas for GMP failings. Deal with any issues immediately in order to maintain area target 95% and avoid non-conformances.
