Service Charge Accountant
Location: Hybrid, occasional travel to Accent offices (Bradford/Peterborough)
Salary: £38,194 per annum
Employment type: Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm
As a Service Charge Accountant, you will ensure service charge costs are accurate, transparent and fully compliant with regulations and occupancy agreements. You will work with a committed team to deliver sharp forecasting, clear budgeting and reliable reporting.
Essential qualifications:
* Strong understanding of service charge legislation
* Advanced Excel skills
* Proven management accounting experience
* Hands‑on experience preparing auditable service charge accounts
* Solid knowledge of different housing tenure types
* A recognised finance qualification (or working towards one)
Desirable:
* Social Housing experience
* Understanding of different scheme structures
* Ability to read and interpret tenancy agreements/leases.
The successful applicant will be subject to pre‑employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.
