There is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiac Physiology Team at NHS Highland. The Cardiology Department is undergoing a major expansion of clinical services and staff recruitment and to support this is looking to recruit an additional Lead Specialist Echocardiographer to join our friendly and experienced team.
We have a friendly team of Cardiac Physiologists, Consultant Cardiologists and cardiology specialist Nurses. Based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, but delivering services to other hospitals in Highland you will provide a wide range of cardiac tests including adult and paediatric echo, TOEs, contrast echo (LV and bubble) and physiologist led valve clinics. The department is also developing additional echocardiography services and your contribution can be tailored to your experience and interests with training provided to support your development. For staff with appropriate training and experience you may also work in the Cardiac Cath Lab where we perform diagnostic angiography, angioplasty and IVUS etc.
Applicants should have a relevant degree and full BSE adult transthoracic accreditation or equivalent. The department would also consider newly qualified / inexperienced echocardiographers who are currently working towards BSE accreditation, where the department would support you in completing your training under Annex 21.
