Grant House

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a new care home manager in the Badenoch and Strathspey district.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, driven manager to join the team in Grant House. The care home is based in the small town of Grantown on Spey within the Badenoch and Strathspey district of the Scottish Highlands.

Grant House has 19 beds which has a mix of permanent, respite and intermediate beds caring for elderly residents with a mixture of conditions dementia, frailty to palliative care. Grant House has Care Inspectorate scores of 4s. Please see the link below for the latest inspectorate report.

The post holder will have a sound knowledge of the SSSC codes of practice, the requirements of the registered manager with the Care Inspectorate and other regulatory bodies and legislative practice.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the care home whilst supporting staff, staff development and being responsible for overseeing the management of the day care centre which is based in Aviemore. The day care centre has a team leader who over sees the day to day running of the centre along with a team of social care workers and social care assistants.

There are exciting projects underway within the care home and day care centre which will be an excellent opportunity for the post holder to demonstrate effective leadership and project management with a vision for service development.

The post holder will be expected to work alongside the integrated team AHPs, Community Nurses, Social Work, GPs and other.

The successful candidate will have a fully supported induction from the Integrated Team Manager and Professional Leads.

1. Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
