Service & Test Technician
Overview:
KeTech is looking for a service & test technician to join its service and maintenance teams for the transportation market.
Service and Maintenance at KeTech:
KeTech’s service and maintenance team provide its clients with 2nd and 3rd line support and maintenance of KeTech’s systems. Systems that are developed in house and consist of electronics, software and mechanical components. As part of the team you will work both in KeTech’s service department and on site at customer premises, to diagnose, fix, test and maintain a range of rail systems.
What makes you a KeTech Service & Test Technician?
The role of Service & Test is a component of Service and Maintenance Team and exists to service, repair and test company supplied products and services to agreed service level agreements.
You will have strong attention to detail and have the ability to prioritise work to deliver in an ever changing environment, along with the following;
1. Be proficient to repair units returned from clients as ‘faulty’. This includes (but not exclusively); Fault finding, diagnosis and rectification at both the system & component level using fault finding trees
2. Have good SMD Soldering skills
3. Have the ability to use basic test equipment (Oscilloscope & Digital multimeter)
4. Ability to read circuit diagrams & schematics.
5. You are able to manage multiple tasks of varying size and complexity simultaneously.
6. Be able to competently Record test results and generate appropriate documentation.
7. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures at all times
8. Perform in warranty and contract servicing
9. conduct Asset and Stock management
10. You are enthusiastic about engaging with customers as necessary to deliver a great product/service
11. Booking in and out of repairs
12. Testing faulty equipment prior to repair
13. Inspection and test
14. Problem reporting
15. Asset and Stock management
16. Purchase orders
17. Document Management
Qualifications/Requirements:
18. Recognized and registered EITB, City & Guilds, modern apprenticeship, NVQ level 4 or approved equivalent training in Electrical/Engineering.NC/HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
