The High Wycombe office is seeking talented individuals to join as an Audit Associate within our Audit Team. The successful candidate is expected to be in their 2nd or 3rd year of ACA/ACCA study with solid technical skills.

The role

As an Associate, you will work as part of a team to deliver statutory audits and other assurance engagements to our clients. We focus on providing a personal and proactive service, maintaining the highest standards in client service.

You will:

* Work with a diverse client base, including large corporate clients and groups with turnovers up to £500m.
* Handle all aspects of statutory audit engagements, from planning to completion, and assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements for both groups and single entities.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Supervise, coach, and develop trainees.

The Team

The Audit Team in High Wycombe comprises around 25 members, from trainees to Directors. The team collaborates on audits, statutory accounts, and client queries, with a focus on career development and teamwork.

The Office

We offer accounting, audit, assurance, business advisory, tax, and VAT services to a range of clients, including AIM-listed companies, large groups, landed estates, and owner-managed businesses. Our staff work closely with colleagues in our national offices to deliver seamless service.

Our High Wycombe office has 3 partners and 50 staff, offering a small-office environment within the larger Saffery family of over 900 people.

You

* Must be studying ACA/ACCA.
* Should have prior experience in audit and accounts, with a focus on audit.
* Must be motivated, organized, commercially minded, and committed to excellent client service.
* Should possess good interpersonal skills, demonstrate initiative, and produce accurate work efficiently.
* Need a flexible, professional approach with the ability to establish credibility with partners and clients.
* Excellent communication skills are essential.
* Being a natural team player with a positive attitude is important.

It is beneficial, though not essential, to have a driving license and the ability to travel to client sites.

* 35-hour work week with hybrid working, minimum 2 days in-office (core hours 10-4).
