Overview
There is an exciting opportunity for a Part time Cleaner to support our services at Yeatman Hospital. This post is 15 hours per week, covering clinical areas out of hours cleaning, with shift times from 5am to 8pm.
Responsibilities
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical ward-based environment and in non-clinical areas throughout the main hospital, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
* Perform vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning/damp dusting, cleaning bathrooms and toilets, emptying bins, and use of mechanical floor cleaning machines.
* Support the Facilities Supervisor to implement and maintain cleanliness standards within the Trust.
* Work as part of a team with a flexible approach, good communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
* All vacancies offer opportunities to work extra hours to cover sickness and staff holidays.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience in cleaning or facilities environments is preferred but not required.
* Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required; the Trust will cover the cost. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid certificate instead of requiring a new check.
* Applications from candidates who require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply.

* Salary: competitive pay; 27 days annual leave per year to start plus bank holidays and weekend enhancements if required.
* Employment type: Part-time (15 hours per week) with potential for extra hours as needed.
* Employment terms: This post may be affected by a transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary in the next 6–12 months; the subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change terms and conditions, including NHS pensions, for transferring staff and new employees recruited after the transfer date in 2026.
