Primary Purpose of the Job:
Manage a caseload of Service Users with complex needs, model and facilitate reflective practice, support Social Workers, and provide professional supervision. Lead and develop the social care workforce to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of vulnerable adults and their families, ensuring high-quality services.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure statutory obligations to safeguard adults are met, complying with legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Gather information for risk assessments and analyze to inform planning.
* Make robust casework decisions with critical reflection and detailed analysis.
* Manage a complex caseload with supervision and support, adhering to policies and legislation.
* Prepare written statements for court hearings and Court of Protection applications.
* Possess knowledge of social work intervention theories and models.
* Supervise and develop team members, including ASYE and social work students.
* Engage in risk management and advise on resource needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies, chair multi-agency meetings.
* Work with integrated teams to support vulnerable adults and reduce the need for targeted services.
* Develop and implement assessment and information sharing protocols.
* Communicate effectively, especially in challenging situations.
* Respond to needs of vulnerable adults and families, ensuring their views are considered.
* Ensure reports are clear, up-to-date, and legally compliant.
* Involve service users in assessment and decision-making processes.
* Promote best practices across the team.
You must have:
* A professional qualification in social work and experience with Children’s Social Work
* Social Work England registration
* Enhanced DBS/Update service
* References for the last 5 years of employment
