Graduate/Junior Web Developer
Location: Derby (hybrid, 1-2 days in office per week)
Salary: Up to £28, benefits
We're working with a growing organisation looking to expand their development team and bring on board an enthusiastic Graduate or Junior Web Developer. The Role:
1. Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining web applications
2. Work across both frontend and backend tasks with technologies such as PHP, Laravel, React, and Vue
3. Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to new feature development
4. Support bug fixing and system improvements
5. Collaborate with the wider development team, sharing ideas and learning best practices
What We're Looking For:
6. A passion for coding and problem-solving, with a willingness to learn and grow
7. Some knowledge of PHP (experience with Laravel a plus)
8. Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue would be a bonus)
9. Understanding of databases such as MySQL
10. A team player with good communication skills and attention to detail
Desirable (not essential):
11. Experience with Git or version control tools
12. Exposure to REST APIs
13. Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
14. Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP etc.)
