ESG Reporting Analyst (Group)
Reporting to: Director of Compliance and ESG
Office Location: Triton Street, London
Role Objectives
Are you passionate about sustainability, integrity, transparency, and driving positive change across our global operations? We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Group ESG Reporting Analyst to champion Hays’ Responsible Business programme. This is a pivotal role that ensures our ESG and compliance data is robust, accurate, and aligned with leading standards and frameworks, supporting performance monitoring, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement. This role would also suit someone with a Financial Analyst or Internal Audit Background looking for a change.
Reporting to the Director of Compliance & ESG, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the global ESG and compliance management systems. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our data supports transparency, investor confidence, and regulatory obligations, while contributing to the organisation’s sustainability journey.
Key Results / Areas
In this role, you will work closely with global and regional teams, supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of ESG and compliance data processes. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Strategy, Governance, and Frameworks
* Develop, maintain and update records to demonstrate Hay’s compliance and performance across environmental, social, and governance dimensions.
* Support the alignment of Hays’ ESG and compliance management systems evidence base with established global standards and frameworks.
* Develop and maintain dashboards/scorecards to track effectiveness, benchmark against objectives, and meet RFP requirements.
Data Collection and Analysis
* Coordinate global data collection for key programme metrics, including sustainability indicators, labour rights, ethics, and other ‘ESG’ topic areas.
* Analyse programme metrics to identify trends, gaps, and emerging risks.
* Produce clear, actionable reports for the Board, ELT, and external stakeholders, supporting transparency and investor confidence.
Monitoring and Reporting
* Support and oversee the timely completion of investigations, ensuring findings are documented and procedures are consistently followed.
* Provide evidence and data for internal/external audits, certification reviews, ESG ratings, and regulatory enquiries.
* Support alignment with global ESG frameworks and contribute to Hays’ sustainability disclosures and non-financial reporting obligations.
Continuous Improvement and Risk Management
* Monitor the effectiveness of programme controls, regularly updating assessments to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
* Identify and communicate emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
Training and Awareness
* Support the development and delivery of training and communication initiatives to enhance awareness of Hays’ Responsible Business programme across the organisation.
Knowledge, qualifications and experience
Education
* Degree or equivalent qualification in a related field preferred, including data science, statistics, mathematics, finance, accounting, economics, sustainability, environmental science or law.
Work Experience
* Experience in ESG reporting, compliance, audit, finance or risk management within a large, complex organisation.
* Knowledge of key ESG and compliance frameworks and standards.
* Experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
