Owen Reed is looking to recruit an experienced Paralegal to support a prestigious family office in coordinating legal matters across the Indian subcontinent for a top law firm in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented Paralegal with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to play a key role in supporting complex legal matters, working closely with family stakeholders, UK legal teams, and international service providers. The Role The Paralegal will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal and administrative support in relation to matters connected to the Indian subcontinent. The role will involve close coordination with UK-based lawyers, external counsel, firms, and interested parties in India, with a particular focus on litigation and dispute resolution. Responsibilities of Paralegal include: Acting as the primary point of contact for all legal service providers relating to the Indian subcontinent. Coordinating between UK and India-based legal teams, service providers, and principals. Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information. Drafting, reviewing, and preparing legal documents. Organising and maintaining client files, ensuring accuracy, security, and confidentiality. Communicating with lawyers, clients, and beneficiaries to obtain updates on legal matters. Filing documents with courts and administrative agencies as required. Assisting external lawyers and law firms. Providing general administrative support, including diary management, scheduling, and correspondence. The Candidate The ideal Paralegal will be a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and time zones. Key skills required: Diligence – ensuring all matters are delivered to the highest standard. Proactivity – managing workload independently, following through, and providing regular reports. Communication – confident in liaising with stakeholders across different cultures and linguistic styles, with excellent command of English. Qualifications & Experience of Paralegal Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement). Legal qualification (e.g. LLB, LLM, LPC, GDL). At least 2 years’ experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant. Strong knowledge of legal procedures and terminology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Apple devices (iPhone, MacBook, iPad). Strong understanding of the strategic and business implications of legal matters.
