Position: Credit Control Manager
Reporting to: Financial Controller / Directors
We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our Credit Control team. You will be responsible for managing the team and overseeing all credit control activities within the company.
Responsibilities
1. Managing a team of credit controllers.
2. Overseeing credit control processes and debtor accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and credit terms.
3. Producing and analyzing debt reports, identifying risks and variances, and implementing action plans.
4. Forecasting cash flow monthly.
5. Maintaining records of credit applications, payments, bad debts, and providing relevant reports.
6. Managing bad debt collection processes, including small claims and insurance claims.
7. Collaborating with the Sales Director to manage problematic accounts.
8. Resolving billing disputes, complaints, and discrepancies promptly.
9. Supporting daily credit control activities as needed.
10. Developing strategic partnerships across management to foster communication and continuous improvement.
11. Reviewing and maintaining the company's credit policy.
12. Liaising with HR to meet staffing needs and ensure policy adherence.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
* Good knowledge of credit control functions within a business.
* Previous managerial experience in a high-volume billing environment.
* Ability to prioritize workload and lead a team effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Details
Location: Head Office, Greysteel
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,500 per annum
