An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly driven, competent individual to work with the team at Southampton Wharf to reach exceptional standards and targets set. They will specifically focus on Safety and Health, Production and Sales, Maintenance and Improvement. We would expect the successful candidate to have a solid knowledge of sand and gravel extraction and processing, the dangers and hazards it brings and a safe understanding of how to work with within a team through these processes day to day.
Responsibilities
* Operation and maintenance of the processing plant and management of the Safety & Health (S&H) systems.
* Assist with out of hours ship rota for dredgers delivering materials for process.
* Engage with company policies, targets, goals and standards; work as an effective member of the wharf team.
* Training and qualifications at a minimum SHE Level 2, mobile plant licences, and basic maintenance fitting experience (or training can be given).
Qualifications
* Experience with Tarmac's Risk assessment and SSOW process (HIRA) and Permit system would be an advantage, but training can be given.
* Knowledge of sand and gravel extraction and processing; understanding of hazards and safe teamwork in processing environments.
* Right to live and work in the UK (evidence required at interview) per UK Immigration rules.
* Desire to work at Southampton Wharf; no agencies please.
