About the role
The Role – Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
As an LSA, you’ll be working closely with pupils aged 4–19, supporting them both in the classroom and around the school. Your role will involve:
1. Providing 1:1 LSA support and small-group help to keep pupils engaged and progressing.
2. Working with children who may have ASD, communication needs, sensory needs, PMLD or physical difficulties.
3. Helping to create a calm, positive environment where pupils can learn at their own pace.
4. Supporting with personal care, feeding, and moving & handling when needed (training can be arranged).
5. Building consistent, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
