We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Clerk to join our busy transport team in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who works well under pressure and enjoys being part of a fast-paced logistics environment.
Shift Pattern:
* Monday to Friday
* 19:30 – 04:00 (Night Shift)
Pay Rates:
* Starting from £13.29 per hour
* Increasing up to £14.89 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
As a Despatch Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient transport operations. Your duties will include:
* Briefing drivers before their shifts, ensuring they have all relevant route and delivery information
* Debriefing drivers on return, collecting paperwork and updating records
* Despatching drivers for collections and deliveries in a timely manner
* Monitoring vehicle runs to ensure schedules are met and operations remain compliant
* Communicating with drivers and internal teams to resolve any issues
* Maintaining accurate records and using internal systems
