SEN Instructor Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time GSL Education Hull is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teacher to support KS3 and KS4 students with SEN/SEMH needs in an alternative provision. About the School This provision supports pupils with SEMH and associated SEND. The team delivers a tailored curriculum, focusing on personal development, confidence, and life skills. Facilities include medical and therapy rooms for holistic support. Leadership is ambitious and committed to aligning provision with independent school standards, with plans for growth. Responsibilities Teach small groups of KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs Plan, deliver, and review IEPs with parents, staff, and students Mark, assess, and track pupil progress Adapt teaching to meet individual needs Work closely with Teaching Assistants to deliver engaging activities Recognise triggers and warning signs, always prioritising safeguarding Follow Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to meet outcomes Requirements UK QTS or PGCE - OR a minimum of 6 months teaching as an unqualified teacher At least 6 months’ experience in SEN or alternative provision Confident working with secondary-age students (KS3 & KS4) Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child welfare Team player with a multidisciplinary approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Interested?
