Payroll Specialist – Full or Part Time (Adderbury or Stratford)
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a well‑established organisation with sites in Adderbury and Stratford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional seeking a varied role within a supportive Finance/HR function. Both full‑time and part‑time applicants will be considered.
The Role
You will take ownership of UK payroll operations, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining full compliance with HMRC and pension regulations. This position offers exposure to both payroll and HR processes, including involvement in a system transition to Moorepay.
Key Responsibilities
o Managing end‑to‑end payroll across weekly and monthly cycles
o Completing RTI submissions (FPS/EPS) and ensuring HMRC compliance
o Administering statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP)
o Overseeing workplace pension auto‑enrolment and monthly submissions
o Handling year‑end tasks including P60s, P45s and P11Ds
o Managing deductions such as student loans, AEOs and salary sacrifice schemes
o Acting as the first point of contact for payroll queries
o Supporting the integration into Moorepay (Payroll & HR)
o Assisting HR with payroll‑related tasks and maintaining organisational structures
o Producing regular and ad‑hoc HR reports (holiday, absence, headcount etc.)
About You
Essential:
o Strong end‑to‑end payroll experience
o Confident working with HR data structures
o Highly organised with excellent communication skills
o Experience partnering with HR and Finance teams
o Strong knowledge of UK tax, NI and NMW legislation
o Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
o Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion
Desirable:
o Experience supporting payroll system integrations
o CIPP qualification (Level 3 or 4)
o Experience with Moorepay, Access or Greentree
