Overview
Your Role As a Post Person with Driving is to be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine. You’ll navigate your delivery routes, provide excellent service, and ensure every item reaches its destination safely. This role is a service to the heart of every community. It offers flexibility for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active.
Important to know: while some roles involve driving, the majority of the work is on foot, delivering within the community.
Responsibilities
* Deliver letters and parcels on assigned routes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
* Maintain safety and security during deliveries and handling of items.
Requirements
* Driving Licence: Full, manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps a day and carry a bag weighing up to 16kg.
* Flexibility: Shifts can vary; ability to adapt at short notice.
