Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
* Support chefs with cooking-related activities as needed, ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.
* Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure a hygienic workspace.
* Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
* Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
* Restock supplies and organise storage areas to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.
* Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
* Support serving staff during busy periods by assisting with basic food service tasks if required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
* Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable.
* Familiarity with kitchen safety standards and hygiene practices is beneficial.
